The Dhaka Metro School Volleyball Championship 2026 is set to begin on 20 September 2026 at the Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium, Paltan, Dhaka, bringing together school teams from across Dhaka in a competitive platform for young volleyball players.
The championship, jointly organised by the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and the Bangladesh School Sports Association (BSSA), will continue until 24 September 2026.
A total of 27 teams will participate in the championship, including 15 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams.
A New Chapter in School Volleyball
The Bangladesh Volleyball Federation has been organising school volleyball competitions regularly every year under its own management. However, 2026 marks the first time that the school volleyball championship is being organised under a joint management arrangement with the Bangladesh School Sports Association.
The initiative aims to further expand volleyball at the school level and provide young players with greater opportunities to compete, develop their skills and gain valuable match experience.
The championship is also expected to provide an important platform for identifying promising young players who may go on to represent volleyball at higher levels in the future.
