The main round of the Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited Dhaka Metropolis 2nd Division Volleyball League 2026 was officially inaugurated on 1 November 2026 at the Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in Paltan, Dhaka. The competition is being organized by the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF), with sponsorship from Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, MP, Honourable Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, as the Chief Guest. He formally inaugurated the competition in the presence of distinguished guests, officials of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, representatives of the sponsoring organization and representatives of participating clubs.
The Special Guests at the ceremony included Lieutenant General (Retd.) Sina Ibn Jamali, Managing Director of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited; Mosammat Ferdousi Begum, Chairman of the National Housing Authority; and Mr. Mohammad Zahid Parvez Chowdhury, Director (Sports) of the National Sports Council.
As part of the inaugural programme, the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation presented crests of honour to the distinguished guests in recognition of their presence and support for the development of volleyball. The Chief Guest, Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman, MP, received a crest from BVF President Mr. M A Latif Shahrear Zahedee. Lieutenant General (Retd.) Sina Ibn Jamali received a crest from BVF General Secretary Mr. Mohd. Abdul Mamin Saddam, while Mosammat Ferdousi Begum was honoured with a crest presented by BVF Vice-President Mr. Mohammad Shoaib.
The programme was chaired by BVF President Mr. M A Latif Shahrear Zahedee. The General Secretary, Mr. Mohd. Abdul Mamin Saddam, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of club-level competitions in developing volleyball in Bangladesh and creating opportunities for emerging players to demonstrate their abilities.
13 Teams Compete in the Main Round
A total of 13 clubs and institutional teams are participating in this year’s main round. The lineup consists of nine existing clubs and four teams that secured qualification through the preliminary round.

The inclusion of four qualified teams alongside nine existing clubs has brought together 13 teams for the main phase, creating an opportunity for competitive matches and greater exposure for club-level volleyball players.
Competition Schedule
The main round commenced on 1 November and will continue through 7 November 2026 at the Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium, Paltan, Dhaka. The closing ceremony and prize distribution programme are scheduled for 7 November 2026.
Through this competition, the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation aims to strengthen the club-level volleyball structure, promote competitive opportunities for players and identify emerging talent for the future development of the sport in Bangladesh.
